This abridgement of Imam Nawawi's great work is based on the format of Shaykh Yusuf ibn Isma'il an-Nabhani's Mukhtasar Riyad as-Salihin and incorporates the commentary on its hadiths found in Nuzhat al-Muttaqin: Sharh Riyad as-Salihin, by Dr Mustafa Sa'id al-Khin, Dr Mustafa al-Bugha, Muhyi ad-Din Mistu, 'Ali ash-Shirbaji and Muhammad Amin Lutfi. The resulting synthesis is at once comprehensive, concise and self-explanatory. It provides the reader with a commentary on Riyad as-Salihin which is not only practical and relevant to the lives of Muslims today, but which is accessible enough to serve as a regular source of reference for all Muslims, including students of the Din.
